26/03/2007...
Its been some time since YongHao first announced to everyone in class that Command & Conquer 3 is coming out, known as tiberium wars...
The DAY has come...
The fate of humanity is in your hands...
The third war is about to begin...
KANE LIVES!!
Discmon
p.s. Unfortunately, it seems like both Yong Hao and me are suffering from the same problem currently that is preventing us from playing the game. DARN IT!! Its all thanks to the fact that our video cards are not supported by the game. Crap...

Recent events!!
Well, it hasn't really been a very long time since I last posted, and besides, the posting frequency has dropped rather drastically following the end of O-levels and also the December holidays...
March holidays was spent in a blur and we were all freaking tired from running around doing all sorts of things.
Lets see, there was job week camp which took up 2 days. I think I already mentioned enough of the job week jokes that has occured in the previous post... Some of them are still popping up in my head once in a while during the period of time when my mind blanks out in lectures...
Then after slacking around, there was the fun-filled PA camp, which I will not bother elaborating since I will just describe it as FUN, FUN and MORE FUN!! You can get glimpses of what had happened by following the link to the NJ PA blog and just looking at all the photos that our legendary TO, Dhika, has put up...
And, lets see, today marks the beginning of aries, which means pisces has just ended right...
Hmm...
Pisces ended...
Which date is it ??
Think... Think... Think...
20th March...
Hey, doesn't that date sound soooooooo damn familiar??
Why, its none other then our dearest author's birthday!!!
[A sudden outburst from the poor guy who asked questions last time a really really long time ago]
"CONGRATULATIONS!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"
Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday happy birthday, happy birthday to me !!!
Woot!!!
Its been a really great birthday, think its the first time I received so many people wishing me happy birthday...
Don't really feel like counting, there was really a lot. Thanks to all you people for remembering this very important day to me, the day I was born and welcomed to this world..
And I want to thank Jing Rong, Mun Yee, Xiao Ying and Huang Yun for that nice gift they sent to me. Its really nice, and I have it displayed prominently on my desk.
And I guess I won't be falling sick often anymore, cause I have an apple tree on my desk now that produces apple everyday for me to eat!!
Thanks guys!

Jokes of Job week!!
The march holiday has started, and job week is over!!
Ok, job week isn't really over, but its over for me. I've done enough job week for this year already I think, and am not planning to continue on for the third day onwards, cause usually there's no point to do it after the first two day...
Anyway, job week usually means there is a lot of job week jokes that come up as we do our job week. Thanks to a series of unfortunate events, this year we have quite a bunch of job week jokes that came up. For me, I feel that the amount of job week jokes we have is about enough to start a compilation here on the blog...
So here it is:
Really really really real job week jokes
(They had really happened before)(And we're not being sarcastic)
Joke #1
Scout: 请问你有没有工作给我做?
The old man who looked like a chinese: 我不会讲华语...
Comments: And besides, the only reason why I talked to him in chinese is because he looked like one...
And yet...
Anyway...
Joke #2
Person: What is the scouts association??
Venture who just did job week for the first time this year: ehh.... It is an association which the scouts join...
Comment: Very nice paraphrase...
Joke #3
Scout: Do you have a job.... (he got cut off)
Person: wait wait... (walks into the room)
Scouts: (waiting at the door for the person to come back and say he's got a job or something)
Person came back with a bundle of newspaper...
Scouts: 我们不是来收报纸的...
Comments: Is it just me, but some people are getting way too familiar with charity organisations??
Joke #4
Person: hmm... tell you what, why don't you play chinese chess with my son??
Scout: ...[stun]
Comments: the person who got that job was me by the way ^^
Joke #5
it sounds a bit weird, but most people would rather give you newspaper and clothes, rather then to give you a job where they pay you a bit of money...
Thanks to NKF...
Joke #6
I was working with my partner, and she was wearing Yi Xuan's scarf (which is supposed to be cursed as Yi Xuan earned very very very very little when he wore that scarf this year) Anyway, for a certain block, for every door I knocked, 90% of the time someone opened the door. For every door she knocked, no one answered...
Comments: Talk about being lucky...
Joke #7
The top way to earn money during job week......
Be cute!!
-quote from myself
Comments: I would like to clarify that I did not use this method to earn money during job week... Jia Min would have a far easier time compared to all of us as she believes that she is cute (which we all think is acbc)
Joke #8
The same venture who said that the scouts association is an association which scouts join...
Later that day:
Someone: What do the scouts do??
The venture: ...........(refuse to reply)
Comments: No one wants to commit the same mistake twice...
Ok, at least this year there was less philosophical statements and such... so we never had to endure it like last year...
Anyway, congratulations to those people who had just started doing job week for the first time this year. For us, veterans of job week (its the 5th year I properly did job week and the 9th year that I had even a job week) life is getting a bit too repetitive...
Especially when we utter the same sentence over and over again to all those people who live in Singapore...

The 101th post...
Hey guys,
Just in case you were wondering, the post before this was the 100th post posted by Discmon on Revelations: Dark Shadow Games...
It's taken quite a bit of time for us here to hit the 100th post, but I think hitting it with posts that are organised and meaningful is better then writing post that are lumped together, everything stuck together and talks about every day daily stuff just to hit it...
But anyway...
Its quite ironical that we have to hit the 100th post with post that starts saying good-bye to people whom I cherish as friends... Kinda reminds me of the reasons why I picked the title for the blog in the first place, but I guess that sort of shows the truth about life, in that it is bleak and dark enough already...
Which sort of reminded me about the idea of "why make life harder for yourself?"
07S16:
Yup, I know that this whole class is splitting up and all...
But still, I don't think I'll forget this class anytime soon. I mean, I spent a happy 3 months with you guys, without you guys, I wonder if I would have had fun in NJC, with all the crappers in the class and the lame jokes going everywhere...
It feels a lot like my old sec 4 class, minus the no. of boys present in the class...
Imagine that, a girl-domination class could be as crap as the boy-domination class that I came from.
Isn't that great ^^
A lot of you guys are going to go across the road, and I don't know, but, remember this. Don't look back, and start thinking about whether or not life would have been better if you had made another decision. Remember this, there is always too many factors to consider when you are thinking about whether or not you had made a good decision...
So yup, don't worry. The group of us who are staying in NJ will cheer you all along the way while you guys are in HC. Its only a bridge away, don't forget to come back and visit us often...
HC is too big for us to navigate, besides, you guys already know where to find us ^^
