Jazz Night

And this marks the end of Jazz Night...
And man, I think it was good, in the performance point-of-view and not the technical point-of-view...

heh...
The songs are really nice and the singers are really good. During the rehearsals, I tended to phase out listening to their magnificent voices reverberate around the theater and the backstage. Their voices are rich, strong and bounce around the walls of the theater as it makes its way around the entire place.

Personally, I felt all the really nice parts is during all the solos. The solos are really nice and add on all the effects lighting and its totally awesome... You know, imagine a single beam of light illuminating only a small section of the stage and then you see the singer with the guitarist there. Then of course, they are both seated on chairs. Its really a nice sight to see, and then the guitar reflect the lights off it...

Ok, I'm starting to drift off again, reminisicing the magnicificent image in my mind...
(hits myself in the head)
Ok, I'm back...
A lot of the songs are really nice, in that you'll continue remembering them even after it is over, songs like "ain't no mountain high enough", "don't worry 'bout a thing". Its not just about it being really nice and the singer is really good, but at the same time, don't you think that the lyrics are damn inspirational.

For example in "ain't no mountain high enough":
Ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough... to keep me from getting to you...

Also there was those songs that I basically just sit down there and feel the song and voice wash over me, songs like emotions:
"In the words of a broken hearts its just emotion... taking me over... caught up inside me, lost in the soul... ...
I caught myself reminiscing about some things when I first heard this song and subsequent times too, but that's beside the point...

The performance was really really nice, and how can we forget about the crew for jazz night:
Jazz Night Crew 2007
House Controls

Ray Chuan
Si Yuan
Jing Wen
Onstage control
Ivan
Nicholas
Backstage
Yi Bo
Zhi Ping
Mellisa

Yup, that should be about it, minus the huge amount of usherers running around all over the place, guarding the doors and escorting people to the toilets...
Well, things could be better on the technical aspect, but I think its already been a great considering the freaking large amount of mics and also the amount of things we needed to worry about when the event was going on...

Haha, cheers for Jazz Night!!
